How can I Attend a Leader Development Training workshop or become certified as an emblems counselor?

This training is for any adult who wants to serve as a counselor or facilitator for older scouts on their religious emblems.

You will need to complete an application and have it signed by your parish priest prior to counselor training.  Training is required for facilitators/counselors.

Are there Workshops available to Help My child complete his/her emblem workbook?

Yes. These day-long workshops are designed for Girl Scouts/Camp Fire girls and Boy Scouts to work on their Catholic Religious emblem workbooks under the guidance of both Emblems Counselors and/or their parents.

Training Committee Chair responsibilities include:

1. Has prime responsibility for scheduling, promoting, and conducting Leader Development training for adult leaders of the Catholic faith in Scouting, including any interested adults to become leaders.

2. Conducting training for interested adults who wish to become certified as an Emblems Counselor, as outlined in the Ad Altare Dei Counselor's Guide, No. 3077.

3. Uses Scouter Development as a tool to motivate and bring new adult leaders into the program.
